Chiloglottis valida or Simpliglottis valida The Common Bird Orchid flowers during Spring - October and November

Endeavour Fern Gully is one of the few surviving forested areas on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.  Prior to European settlement, many similar fern gullies could be found in the landscape.  After settlement, it became part of the McCrae family’s run – Arthur’s Seat – in the 1840s.

The gully is situated in an area with identified travel routes once taken by the traditional owners, the Boonwurrung people of the Kulin Nation.
