Labassa is one of Australia's most outstanding nineteenth century mansions. Hidden in a cul-de-sac in Caulfield, the striking facade and opulent interiors reflect late 1880s grandeur and Victorian taste and elegance.

Built between 1863 and 1890 in the French Renaissance style the ornate interior boasts embossed and gilded wallpapers, stencil work, mahogany paneling and a rare illusionist ceiling.

A magnificent stained glass window enhances the grand sweeping staircase, creating a magical atmosphere.

Externally the mansion features Corinthian columns and arcaded verandahs coupled with classical marble decoration and an abundance of ornamentation.

This grand venue can host functions of various sizes. The Drawing Room creates a glamorous setting for wedding ceremonies or cocktail style entertaining whilst the Dining Room offers ideal corporate entertaining for small sit-down dinners or private celebrations. The music room has ideal acoustics for performances. The property can also be used for wedding photography or professional filming. Labassa is located in Caulfield North.

New Micro Wedding Ceremonies– smaller in scale for 10 people plus a celebrant, with all the style and time-honoured tradition of a larger event. Your wedding will be hosted in the outdoor pavilion, with the romantic backdrop of the ornate mansion and surrounding grounds.
