Up the Lazy River

Let our knowledgeable volunteer guides take you on a tour of Parramatta River from Darling Harbour to Newington with a stopover at the Newington Armory Cafe for lunch!

Start Time: 10.00am
Finish Time: 1.45pm
Vessel: 1943 Motor Launch Harman

Event Details:
The tour starts at the Australian National Maritime Museum with an introduction to Sydney Heritage Fleet and the tour. Join us on our heritage motor launch Harman for a 3½ hour cruise of the Parramatta River from Darling Harbour to Newington. Along the way you’ll see and hear about the birthplace of the Green Ban in Australia, a childhood home of the famous poet, the little-known monument to a Sydney world champion, prestige redevelopment of former industrial sites, former boatbuilding sites; large and small, heroic and hopeless, through peace and war, the hidden resting place of our best known Aboriginal man, the lasting legacy of a great philanthropist.

And our guides will tell you about many more fascinating sites lining the river, old and new!
