Strickland House Open Day
You're invited to join us in this rare opportunity to see inside Strickland House. Step back in time as you walk up the lush lawn of this 19th-century heritage treasure which boasts one of the best harbour views anywhere in Sydney.
The Woollahra History and Heritage Society, in conjunction with the National Parks & Wildlife Service, will be opening the historic Strickland House up to the public.
Come and celebrate the gazetting of the property joining Sydney Harbour National Park and its transfer to the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
There will be a small display about the history of the property and the acquisition of the adjoining parts of Sydney Harbour National Park.
Short talks and walks in the grounds will take place at 11 am and 2 pm.
BYO picnic and enjoy the fabulous harbour views or take a dip at the stunning Milk Beach.
The 325 bus from the City via Edgecliff Station stops at Strickland House.
Wheelchair access limited to ground floor of the historic house. Street parking only
Admission to the historic house is by ‘gold’ coin donation per person for adults, children under 16 are free. Admission to the grounds is free.
