History & Heritage Ferry Tours

Cruise some of the most fascinating waterways in the south seas while enjoying the live commentary and onscreen presentation bringing to life the history and heritage of the area.

Cruise on the Ferry ‘Sorrento’ to amazing historic sites, relive days past on TV screens and listen to live commentary by an awarded historian. Presented on screen is a decades work; research, illustrations, animations, historic/onsite photographs, dioramas, static and working models. These special history ferry tours, usually only conducted on weekdays are now also available on weekends, at concession prices, for the Australian Heritage Festival.


Tour 1 is Broken Bay/Hawkesbury River departing from Patonga or Brooklyn includes; two of the oldest wrecks in the Australian Navy, West Head Fort’s amazing inclined railway and why did the Hawkesbury Rail Bridge fail?

Tour 2 is Gosford/Brisbane Water departing from Woy Woy includes; the great shipbuilding heritage of the area, the HMAS Patricia Cam sunk in 1943 and the 1880s General Gordon.

ALL adults on all tours at concession prices. Tours are 3.15 hrs and include complimentary morning tea.
