Garden Pick and Press at Experiment Farm Cottage

Children are invited to come and explore the gardens at Experiment Farm Cottage and take home a sample of what they find in their very own flower press.

Bring the kids along to Experiment Farm Cottage and explore our cottage garden.  Filled with the fashionable garden plants of the nineteenth-century, learn about how they were used in the medicines of surgeon Dr John Harris.  Volunteers will be on hand to help children create their own flower press and select cuttings that they can take home with them. We recommend allowing 30 minutes for the activity.  It will be best suited to children aged 5-10 years. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
