Deddington Chapel Open Day – John Glover’s Final Resting Place
John Glover is often referred to as the father of Australian landscape painting. Born in England, he later travelled to Van Diemen's Land arriving in 1831 where he lived up until his death in 1849.
Join us to experience the beauty of this land that inspired the famous works of John Glover and visit his final resting place, the Deddington Chapel.
This humble chapel opened its doors on the 10th May, 1841. It has been both a chapel and a school house for the people of Deddington and is still in use today.
